High School PACE
The PACE program at the high school works with students identified as
part of the Talent Pool, but also is designed to help all students who
desire to learn more about a particular topic.
Information regarding opportunities for these students is currently
posted outside my room (2003). If a student is interested in
enrichment outside the classroom, he/she should pick up an information
sheet.
For the second year, we are offering an enrichment class at the
high school. Currently we have two students enrolled who are
working in the area of music and art education. In order to be
a part of this class, students must be of junior or senior status and
turn in a brief plan outlining what they are planning to study for an
entire semester. Once the plan is approved, students will need to
complete a schedule change or make other arrangements with me to fit
the class into their schedule.
For the first time this year we are offering an Advanced Scholars
class. There are currently seven students taking Psychology
through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for college credit.
This course is open to seniors only. If a senior student is
interested for next semester, he/she will need to visit with his/her
counselor to find out more about this learning oppportunity.
