Reading- read the story poem Miss Spider's Tea Party, comprehension questions, library skills (locate a fiction book)
Writing- write a make-believe story
Phonics- short o, long i spelled y, change y to i and add -es to form plurals
Grammar- pronouns I and me
Spelling- plurals (change y to i) List A (pony, baby, berry, bunny, butterfly, ponies, babies, berries, bunnies, butterflies) List B (bouquet, company, hostess, trio, platoon, dread, courtesy, reputation, violets, shrieked, squeaked, descending)
Math- Geometry unit (plane shapes, solid figures, sort plane shapes and solid figures) Tables and Graphs unit (bar graphs, points on a grid, and line graphs)
Unit Studies- Plant unit (watch videos on plant parts and parts of plants we eat, discuss how seeds are spread, plants that grow in deserts, rain forests, and tundra regions) Balance and Motion activities (balance paper crayfish, triangles, arches and pencils with the help of clothespins, experiement with plastic discs to make tops)
