Reading- read the informational fiction story Ibis: A True Whale Story, comprehension questions, discuss plot of the story, main idea/details
Writing- continue writing Trouble with Tyrannosaurus Rex,
Phonics- suffixes -y and -ly, vowel sounds heard in moon and good
Grammar- adjectives that compare
Spelling- vowel sounds heard in moon and good List A(food, boot, soon, moon, room, look, book, good, stood, foot) List B(balloon, raccoon, kangaroo, school, scooter, loose, understood, cookie, barefoot, goodness)
Math- Chapter 14(telling time) tell time to 5-minute and 1-minute, Begin Chapter 15(understanding time) sequencing months, identify date on a calendar, compare measurements of time
Unit Studies- continue Dinosaur and Magnet/Simple Electricity Units-watch dinosaur videos and discuss fossil finds throughout the world and tools used at dig sites, make an electromagnet and show that magnets are strongest at the poles
