About Mrs. Lemke
email Mrs. Lemke
This 2009-2010 school year is my twenty-ninth year of full time teaching. It's my sixteenth year at St. John. I have taught full time, part time and done substitute teaching for the past 33 years in locations such as Harahan, Louisiana, Cleveland, Ohio, Orlando, Florida, and now Seward, Nebraska. These positions have included teaching in all elementary grades, one through eight. My curricular areas this year are teaching first grade religion, math, social studies, art, science, health and literacy. I am a graduate of Concordia University, with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education, with a Reading emphasis.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and very much enjoy visiting the other states. This summer my husband and I visited our son and daughter-in-law in Ohio, our daughter and son-in-law in Texas , and my mom in Wisconsin. Besides travel, other interests include reading, writing, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. My husband, Mark, is a recently retired professor, teaching part time at Concordia University in the area of Teacher Education, especially Health and Human Performance classes.
Our classroom is open for visits from parents and friends. Feel free to join us at any time to see what interesting activities the first grade students are enjoying.
