This
site is maintained by Dan Jensen. I'm a U.S. History teacher at
Waverly Public High School, District #145. Specifically, I teach
Freshmen Core U.S. History, and APHIST (Advanced Placement
United States History).
I'm the Head Boys Soccer Coach, the Social Education Area Chairperson, the Building Curriculum Supervisor for Social Studies, and Team Leader
for the Team 1000 Freshmen. Overall, I've taught and been a head coach
for 24 years, the last 14 at Waverly. In May, 2005, I was honored to be named
the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History Nebraska History Teacher
of the Year for 2004 - 2005. Also, I've been included in the 26th Edition (2009) of 'Who's Who in the World", as well as the 61st (2007) & 62nd (2008) Editions
of "Who's Who in America", and the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th Editions of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers".

I graduated from Burnsville High School in
suburban Minneapolis in 1980, and then earned a B.S. at Dana College in
1984. I earned my M.S. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in
1991. From 1985 - 1995 I was the social studies teacher and head
boys basketball coach at Johnson-Brock Junior-Senior Public High School.
