There are many helpful sites to explore post secondary education. The Internet is a great tool, but here are a few words of caution:

The Internet cannot replace talking to a counselor. Counselors can provide services and information, which can be personalized to meet your needs. Most times, seeing a counselor will get your questions answered quickly.

College Entrance Testing Sites
American College Testing (ACT)--This site provides valuable continuing education information. Student can register online for the ACT Assessment.
The College Board Online (SAT)--A college planning resource; a student can register for SAT online.
Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT)--The PSAT is recommended for college-bound juniors and sophomores. This site will provide specific information on the PSAT program.
Continuing Education Sites
Easy Access for Students and Institutions--A U.S. Department of Education site on planning, applying, receiving and repaying the four steps in the educational learning cycle.
EducationQuest--A helpful Nebraska site with financial aid information and an online College Funding Estimator.
Historically Black Colleges and Universities--This site provides valuable information on historically black colleges.
NCAA Online--The official site of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. It provides students, parents, coaches and counselors information on student-athlete eligibility and recruiting at Division I and II institutions.
NCAA Sponsorship--This site lists Division I and II institutions which sponsor specific sports.
The Princeton Review--Students can check out over 300 colleges rated "best" by the Princeton Review. They can also take a practice SAT and have it scored.
Schools in the USA--Students can use this site to help them find the right college.
Southeast Community College--An informative site for prospective
students to SCC at Lincoln, Milford or Beatrice campus.
University Links--This site provides an alphabetical listing of schools, also allows for school sort by State or type of school.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln--Links for prospective students on admissions, academics, athletics and student, faculty and staff resources.
United States Department of Education Student Guide--This site give information about financial aid from the U.S. Department of Education.
US News College Rankings--A list of "best colleges" as rated by U.S. News.

College Xpress--This site gives general information on the college transition process including an "ask the expert" area.
Study Skills for College Students--This site, provided by University of St. Thomas, is an excellent resource for students and parents.
Parents/Guardians College Information
Parents Guide to Education--This site provides valuable information for parents of collegebound students on the admissions process.
