Financial Aid
This page will take to you helpful sites for financial aid. In order to
make the process of financial aid easier, please remember the following
things:
- Fill out your FAFSA form early. They can be obtained from
Mrs. Fisher or downloaded from the FAFSA website. You can also
obtain copies of the form from the EducationQuest Foundation. The links
mentioned are attached. Education Quest Foundation
- FAFSA forms are usually due to the colleges your student is
interested in by March 1. Since the FAFSA form requires
information from your income tax forms, you may need to file
earlier. This doesn't mean that you have to send in your
completed tax form any earlier than you did in the past, it simply
means that you need to have it completed earlier. If you have a
tax advisor complete your tax information, you may need to ask for an
earlier appointment.
- Colleges will send students an offer letter sometime after March
15 for many private schools and by April 15 for public institutions.
Please return the form whether or not your child decides to attend the
school.
- A note about working students. An EducationQuest representative told me that 50% of any
money your earn over $2500 will be factored in on your FAFSA as student
contribution for college. So, long story short, please save 50% of the
earnings above $2,500.
