About Interconnect Spanish

Project Description

Interconnect Spanish is a method of bringing foreign language learning opportunities into elementary classrooms using the latest technology in desktop conferencing.  The classroom equipment consists simply of a laptop computer with the proper software, a camera, and a projector to put images on a wall for comfortable viewing.  The younger students have easy interaction with the distance teacher and the projected images.  With this system each classroom becomes its own distance learning room and connects to the distance instructor, other classrooms, and even other sites of interest, such as a zoo, a national park, or many historical sites. If you have any questions about this project, e-mail Zoe or Eryn at the addresses below.
