El Dulce - Use this worksheet to help your students NOT make snap judgements about things from another culture. This type of structured reflection will help your students become culturally literate.
In order to practice caliente (hot) and fr“o (cold), play "hide the eraser". Send a student out of the room and then hide a large rubber eraser somewhere in the classroom. Have the student come back into the room. The rest of the class must guide him/her to the eraser by saying "caliente" when s/he is getting closer and "fr“o" when s/he is getting farther away. Eraser, in Spanish, is "goma".
Before lunch, have students say, "Tengo hambre" (I'm hungry).
