Dear Parents,
April, 2008
This month we will be learning about animals, seeds and plants,
recycling, and insects. During this time we will be planting
seeds and learning how to take care of a plant. Our letters will
be Nn, Cc, Kk, Jj, and Ii. We are almost finished with the
alphabet! Keep working on letter sounds and sounding out words.
On Wednesday, April 16th,
we will be going on a field trip to the Lincoln Children’s
Museum. Museum memberships can be used at this visit. If
you have a membership please let me know as soon as possible.
There is a $3.00 charge
for this trip. Please send the money to school by April
16th. Checks should be made out to Eagle PTE. If you would
like to go with us to the museum, please let me know. There will
also be a $3.00 charge for
adults. You can give this to me or bring it on the day of the
trip. Please do not include this amount in your child’s check.
The school art show will be on April 19th
at the south Barnes & Noble. Each student will have one piece
of art in the show. It is sponsored by the PTE. They will
also be holding a book fair at the same time.
Friday, April 11th ---No School
Our Kindergarten program will be on Friday, May 9th at 1:45.
This is a very important time for your kindergarten student so please
make sure someone from your family can attend. I will be sending
home a RSVP at the beginning of May so that I know how many
parents/grandparents will be coming.
