Re: Pre-Band Camp Activities
From: Ms. Dalby
Hi! I hope all of you have had a relaxing and refreshing summer
vacation. I am looking forward to seeing all of you. As you
know, it takes a lot of additional activities to prepare for Band
Camp. The success of the band reflects the attitude of the drum
majors, section leaders, and drum line. The example you set will
“set the tone” not only for band camp, but for the entire year!
On Wednesday, August 3rd, drum majors and section leaders will be
meeting. Please bring your band instrument. In addition to
getting your sections’s folders ready, we will begin rehearsing our
competition music, assign lockers, make posters, etc.

IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION
During Band Camp several important activities will be taking
place. To aid in ordering items for the 2005-06 school year,
please complete this form and bring the correct amount of money to BAND
CAMP.
The Band Boosters will also be taking pictures of the band members for
the Varsity Band Buttons. The Band Buttons may be worn by
parents, grandparents, siblings, or friends at any time. It’s a
great way to show your support for the Waverly Varsity Band.
The “WAVERLY HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES CALENDAR” & “POCKET CALENDAR”
is a great fundraiser for the band sponsored by the Band
Boosters. This calendar is funded entirely by the calendar ads
and is a 100% profit money maker for band students. Both the
“Waverly High School Activities Calendar” and the “Pocket Calendar”
include activities at Waverly High School for the 2005-06 school
year. The “Pocket Calendar” is very helpful because you can carry
it with you and have immediate access to activities at Waverly High
School.
The next band trip will be in the year 2006-07 school year.
Students currently in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will be the classes
that will be participating in the next band trip. We really
encourage students to begin working on their fund raising activities as
soon as possible, that way the students will not have to raise all of
their money in one year. Every student has their “own” individual
Golden Account. Fund raising activities will deposit directly
into their individual account for what they have sold.
The following items are required for Varsity Band:
