Registration Procedures and Considerations
Dear Parents/Guardians:
As this school year passes by quickly, preparation for next year is already underway. We would like to share with you important information regarding the scheduling process for the 2009-2010 school year. During January and February we will be meeting with all students to discuss graduation and college requirements and to create individual academic plans. These meetings will provide each student with the following: 1) a course description booklet explaining the curriculum and prerequisites of each high school class offered, 2) an individual transcript showing each student’s academic progress to date, 3) a graduation checklist, and 4) an academic plan on which the student will write the courses he or she wishes to enroll in next year.
Students are expected to bring this information home for your approval and signature. We encourage you to discuss with your student his or her plan for next year and beyond. The days that each grade will receive this information—and dates for form return—are provided below. Please note that ? will be a make-up scheduling information day for sophomore and junior students who were absent during the initial meeting. Freshmen who miss the day will receive individual scheduling appointments during their team time.
