About
I became the Principal of Shickley Public School in 1998. In 2003 I took the reigns as Superintendent and also served as Principal. In 2006, Randy Kort was hired as the principal/activities director.
I was born and raised in Russell, MN - a town of 400 people 13 miles southwest of Marshall (Schwans headquarters). I graduated from Russell-Tyler High School in Tyler, MN in 1985, attended South Dakota State University (SDSU) in Brookings, SD for 2 years and then transferred and graduated (in 1991) from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. After completing my degree, I taught in Omaha for one year and then moved to North-Central Nebraska and taught grades 9-12 math at Keya Paha County High School in Springview from 1992-98. I completed my Masters in Educational Administration in 1998 from SDSU and my Educational Specialist in 2005 at UNK.
