- PowerPoint Integration Ideas and Tips--check this site for tutorials, sample presentations, and classroom ideas for using PowerPoint
- Sending Outline to PowerPoint--taking word document and sending information to a PowerPoint file
- Microsoft Education Resources--check this site for tutorials, case studies, how-to-articles, and lesson plans for using Microsoft products, especially PowerPoint
- Online PowerPoint Tutorials--acden provides a variety of online tutorials for a variety of software titles
- freeplaymusic.com--this is a very good site for downloading music, then adding as background music in PowerPoint presentations. Please check the "terms of use." For more information about types of audio files available click here.
- Brainy Betty--this site provides tutorials and links to free templates for PowerPoint.
- Awesome Powerpoint Tutorials--this site provides many free downloads showing how to do text effects, looping, interactive menus, etc.
- Reallusion--check out "It's Me," "Crazy Talk," and "Talking Slide" from this site. They are available for a 7-day free download. It's Me allows presenters to create animated figures with their own pictures as the face--for use in PowerPoint presentations.
- PowerPlugs for PowerPoint--for Windows machines only, this site sells a variety of additional plugins.
- Download some additional templates:
- Macintosh --Mactopia provides a wide variety of PowerPoint resources, including templates for downloading.
- Windows--Check out the templates on this site and download those that you would like to add to your list.
- Sound Companion--allows users to create or edit music for mulimedia presentations.
- Cooltext.com--allows you to make neat text effects that you can then insert into your presentation
- GraffitiCreater--allows you to create neat effects for text
Here are a few resources to use when creating scoring rubrics/checklists for students' PowerPoint presentations:
- Rubric Builder--from David Warlick's Landmark Project Site. As stated on this site, the "Rubric Builder enables teachers to build effective assessment rubrics and to make them available over the World Wide Web."
- Project Based Learning Checklists--allows you to choose which items you wish to find in student presentations.
- Rubistar--is a tool to help the teacher who wants to use rubrics but does not have the time to develop them from scratch.
