Deception on the Internet

Many students feel that anything they get results for after doing a search on the Internet is true and accurate information.  However, not everything on the Internet is true.  As parents and teachers we might think that it would be easy to spot information that is not only erroneous but harmful.  The list below shows several examples of websites that seem to be truthful and professional.  Look them over!  Check them out !  Only one of them is a "honest and accurate" website.  Can you tell which one?

Dihydrogen Monoxide  www.dhmo.org

Victorian Robots  www.bigredhair.com/robots/index.html

Charles Lindberg http://www.charleslindbergh.com/

isafe information - http://www.isafe.org/ has products and resources to teach parents/teachers/students about internet safety

safekids.com -http://www.safekids.com/ gives kids rule for online safety
