«Bienvenidos» or "Welcome" to the Shickley Spanish classes! Thank you for visitiing!

The following is a brief overview of the classes available:

ELEMENTARY  SPANISH

The elementary students in grades 3-6 take introductory classes, with an emphasis on building vocabulary by using games, songs, and repetitive and cummulative activities.

 

JUNIOR  HIGH  SPANISH

The seventh and eighth grade students are divided into four sections. During the school year, each section rotates each quarter with classes in computer, art and home economics. Building upon the foundation that was begun in the elementary program, vocabulary and verbalization is repeated and increased by using a variety of games, songs and activities.

 

HIGH  SCHOOL  SPANISH

SPANISH  I:  The goal is to increase vocabulary, improve speaking skills, practice listening and reading comprehension skills, and develop writing skills in Spanish. Cultural activities of Spanish-speaking countries are also included.

SPANISH  II:  The goal is to increase and improve the goals of Spanish I, plus to learn to communicate using a variety of verb tenses.
