About Me
This site is maintained by Valerie Hill. I am currently employed
by District #145, Waverly-Eagle. As sixth grade classroom
instructor, I teach one section of math, one section of reading, three
science, and one general music class.
I have been teaching sixth grade at Waverly since 1990. Prior to
that I taught second grade for three years in Exeter, NE.
My educational background includes a BA from Doane College and
additional graduate level classes through UNL, Doane, and Kearney State.
My husband. Arch, and I reside in Waverly. He is an instrumental
music teacher at Dawes Middle School in Lincoln, NE. We have two
daughters, Leslie and Dianna. Both are graduates of Waverly High
School and have attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Leslie
is pursueing a career in architecture and Dianna is a dental assistant in Lincoln.
My interests include reading, music, scrapbooking, cooking and watching
movies. I am also very active in our church, teaching Sunday
School and singing in the choir.
